FAQ

  • Why is there a 3 month minimum commitment for 1:1 coaching?

This is a long-term process to create sustainable habits and face a little reality to reach your goals. There might be learning curves or foundational habits & changes we have to work on before we dive into fat loss or tracking macros. The first month includes 1-2 weeks of tracking what you already consume to look at nutritional choices, to determine if you are under eating or over eating on average, to determine consistency, evaluate habits and your activity level.

Are you thinking: Well, that sounds like a lot? It can be, but it is rewarding. It can be fun and is SUPER empowering. The goal is to set you up for LONG-TERM success where you no longer need a coach. A path to your optimal health and a focus on longevity.

  • Will I have to track my food? What app do you require?

Yes. There is no away around it. We need data. We need to know what kind of nutrition we are eating to hit macros and reach goals.

If you are brand new to tracking, I will walk you through the process with guides, videos and screenshots as needed.

If you are a seasoned tracker and using another app we will discuss switching to MacrosFirst or making sure your app of choice can sync with Apotheo.

Tracking is an amazing educational tool to learn the reality of your nutritional choices, and for some, it is a gut check. But tracking isn’t forever. Once you master it, reach your goal or enter a new stage of programming there is a focus on balanced meals, untracked meals and simply not tracking at all because you can now intuitively eat while hitting your macro ranges & maintaining your weight (the ultimate goal)

  • Will I have to keep track of a million different apps?

No! With the Apotheo platform your entire programming and checkins will be in one place. You will need to use a food tracking app likr MacroFirst. That is only two apps! Otherwise, we will communicate via email, messaging and during our monthly calls

  • Will I lose weight quickly with 1:1 Coaching? That’s what I want.

Possibly, but probably not. This is not a quick fix. This is about more education around nutrition and health, and creating sustainable habits, so you don’t find yourself in a similar spot down the road. I want you to feel confident in leading a free and flexible life around nutrition that when we end our coaching you have the tools to keep reaching your goals.

But that takes time and can mean facing some hard truths but that is where I come in to support you, cheer you on and provide a no judgement space to feel like a badass! This is about health, longevity and future goals.

  • What are your non-negotiables or expectations for clients?

To not give up and to trust the process. This is a long game. But also to feel safe to communicate your feelings even if you are worried it will upset me. Trust me, it won’t.

But the hardest part is usually around discussions about eating MORE food. If you have been dieting off and on for years or after two weeks of tracking you are under fueling your body, then we will discuss the need to eat at a higher calorie target (reverse/maintenance) before we begin a fat loss phase. It will require trust.

In addition, your check-ins are a MUST especially the ones requiring photos and measurements so I can do my job well. I need the full picture to best provide our course of action and to help you reach your goals.

  • Ugh, why do you require photos and measurements?

The scale is only one data point to track progress and there are several variables that determine the number on the scale. We want a variety of data points to determine if we are moving the needle, need to make adjustments or are fighting something beyond the scope of our control.

The scale has women in a death grip, and I want to start neutralizing the numbers by focusing on lost inches, how clothes are fitting, energy levels and other biofeedback. How often you submit pictures and measurements will be discussed in our initial client call.

  • How do we communicate as client and coach?

For 1:1 Coaching you will set up an account in Apotheo to access your account on a desktop and within the app. It displays your macro targets seamlessly syncing with MacrosFirst, tracking habits, houses your custom programming, additional resources and is where you submit check-ins.

I will communicate and provide feedback via app messaging and video feedback. I am also available via email, text and Marco Polo (if you choose).

Our monthly video calls will be through FaceTime (if choose or able) or Zoom.

For the Macro & Nutrition Consultation we will FaceTime or schedule a Zoom.

The 1x Macro count is all conducted via email.

  • I am a beginner. Can we still work together?

Absolutely! The process will look different and start at a slower pace, but I am here to meet you where you are!

I value relationships and will work with you to help you feel safe and supported starting your journey. There is a lot of information to learn, habits to form and mindsets to change, but I am here to guide you and cheer you on the entire way!

I remember what it was like starting this alone with no supports, so rest assured I know the fear of the unknown and doubting yourself. But I promise by committing to yourself and being open to change is an incredible and empowering experience.

  • Do you accept payment plans?

Yes. You can pay monthly or in full for 1:1 Nutrition Coaching.

The Macro Count options are paid in full upon submission of your information.

There are no refunds for any service.
